Dynamic, artful sequencing to align body, mind, and spirit
Breath, Flow, and Creative Freedom on the Mat

My path to yoga began with a lifetime of movement and creativity. I am a graduate of Memphis College of Art, and for many years I worked as a physical fitness instructor. When I discovered yoga, I found the perfect fusion of these two passions. The yoga mat became a new kind of canvas for me – one where breath, movement, and presence create living art. Alongside teaching, I continue to paint and exhibit my work in Memphis galleries, allowing my art and yoga to inform and inspire one another.
I draw much of my inspiration from my teacher, Shiva Rea, who opened my eyes to the beauty of flow – to the freedom and personal power that arise when we move with intention, and to the yoga mat as a gateway to that freedom. I received my certification through Yoga Alliance and now teach both public and private classes, as well as lead yoga adventures around the world.
My intention as a teacher is to create a space that is peaceful, vibrant, and supportive – a space where students can explore their abilities and move beyond limiting beliefs. I want to offer tools that empower each person to take ownership of their well-being and their quality of life.
My teaching style is pure, conscious, creative vinyasa – a graceful linking of each pose with the next, weaving together strength, stamina, and fluidity. I hold a keen awareness of alignment, both physical and energetic, so that each movement is both intentional and alive.
In my classes, I blend precision of alignment with intuitive movement – strength with softness, grounded wisdom with creative exploration – all initiated and sustained by the breath. Vinyasa, from the Sanskrit root “nyasa” (to place) and the prefix “vi” (in a special way), is the foundation of my teaching. The flow of each class unfolds through dynamic, creative sequencing that wakes up the whole body. By moving into and out of poses in unique and sometimes unexpected ways, we peel back the layers and connect deeply to body, mind, and spirit.
The focus of a practice may shift – some classes emphasize strength and endurance, others balance and grace, and some invite us to ground low and explore our roots. Whatever the pace, the breath is the constant thread, and the lasting energy is one of balance and deep relaxation. I also weave in other aspects of yoga beyond asana, so that practice becomes a more holistic experience.
My hope is that what happens on the mat – and sometimes what arises off the mat – can be carried into everyday life. Above all, I aim to challenge, nurture, and inspire my students to connect with their true essence, embody their aliveness, and embrace their creative potential.
